We are about to embark on our journey with the Toyota series. What are your thoughts? Is there any other car or brand you’d like us to undertake alongside this?
“GR86” is not just a model identifier but a representation of the car’s essence. The “G” refers to Gazoo Racing, Toyota’s racing development team, while “R” represents ‘Racing’. The “86” pays homage to the AE86, a series of sport compact cars produced by Toyota in the mid-80s, renowned for their balance of power and handling.
The GR86 carries forward this legacy, blending innovative technology with classic design elements to create a vehicle that embodies the past, present, and future of Toyota’s racing heritage.

Proper masking tape is used to prevent unnecessary damage to trims and panels. It’s a time consuming process but damage coupe be irreversible and expensive.
The finish sure it’s disappointed but that’s typical from bodyshop. The following images will demonstrate our expertise in Paint Correction methods and their effectiveness. To provide context, paint correction procedures on these panels usually require two to five times the effort compared to standard paint correction processes. It would be unrealistic to anticipate that these areas would be addressed and yield similar results through standard paint correction services.
We also got the Project Kics R40 Iconix lug nuts clean up to match the clean Work Emotion ZR10 Wheels.
Once we elevate the vehicle using the lift, it becomes clear that this is not your typical car modification routine. The distinct Cusco blue, mirroring the exterior Neptune blue remarkably, seems as if it was originally designed to be a part of this vehicle straight off the assembly line.

Last generation Toyota 86 to a GR86 involves more than just a simple badge swap. The GR86 is a newer model with notable improvements and enhancements over the Toyota 86. While both cars share the same FT86 platform, the GR86 offers more power, a revamped interior, and updated styling. Features such as a rear spoiler, push-start ignition, and improved suspension could be added to a Toyota 86 as modifications, but these changes do not equate to a full upgrade to a GR86.
A car sporting the GR badge is a testament to Toyota Gazoo Racing’s commitment to producing track-tested vehicles with the essence of a true sports car. The GR86 is no exception.
Driving the GR86 is a powerful 2.4L 4-Cylinder Boxer Engine, pushing out 228 horsepower and 184 lb.-ft. of torque. The enhanced torque curve significantly improves 0-60 acceleration, perfectly marrying speed and stability.
Whether you’re a fan of manual or automatic, the GR86 has got you covered. Choose from a 6-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters or a 6-speed manual variant for that classic driving experience.
The aerodynamic front fender air vents minimize air turbulence. This feature enables the driver to hug corners tightly, enhancing control and stability.
The GR86 is prepared for the track right off the manufacturing line. Featuring a multi-link rear suspension and a Torsen®️ limited-slip differential (LSD), it’s designed to handle the most challenging circuits.
The GR86 utilizes lightweight materials and a sturdy chassis for optimal weight distribution, resulting in agile handling perfect for any road condition.
