Joe @ Performance Technic got the new BMW M2 and wondering what we can do for his car this time. Joe wasn’t too sure about Paint Protection Film in the past but this time he would like to give it a try on the front bumper because of the rock chips just really annoying for his new commute route to Fremont. Yes, if you guys don’t know about it. Performance Technic just moved to Fremont ! Their new location address is 4370 TECHNOLOGY DRIVE, FREMONT, CA 94538.

Once the car is dropped off, we inspected the car and see what level of paint correction it needs. For white color vehicles, many imperfection are hidden but under our inspection lighting system we are easily to locate them and take pictures for documentation purposes.

Overall the car isn’t in bad shape, we found heavy contamination on the rear section of the car due to the Dinan Exhaust System, water spots on the side skirt, factory buff mark, buffing haze, light swirl marks and a few RIDS (Random Isolated Deep Scratches). We measure the paint thickness and tried out few different approaches and determine which one we will use for the entire vehicle.

Tire Shine has to be GONE here. Just 1000 miles and the tire shine just really mess up the car.
